It all started with prints and scissors.

On a wintery Tuesday in 2008, our team cut apart their first of many old magazines to piece together random clothing items with out-of-context imagery.

Ever since that fateful day, we've had an insatiable obsession with mood boarding and building collages with our own hands.

Fast forward to 2023, Outfit Builder Lab was born with a single purpose in mind:

To build the perfect outfits simply by dragging and dropping.

From building out complete outfits through grid, "randomizer", and even on-body placements, creating your own outfit builder is the perfect way to let anyone personally interact with your garments.

Individual items can also be linked to products on any online store including Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Gumroad, and any other platform.

Items can be stacked over each other and can even display a special message or price figure when hovered over with a mouse (desktop), finger (mobile), and eyes (headset).The outfit builder can also have its own subdomain (for example: outfits.examplesite.com) or be hosted on its very own website independently.

Image editing and optimization

With the Diamond plan, simply hand off your images to us and we will do all of the work to make the backgrounds of your item images completely transparent, reduce their file size for faster load speeds, and size them to accurate dimensional proportions.

If you decide to select the Gold plan and plan to edit all of your item images on your own, you will receive a .PSD template via email with example product images to use as a reference guide for item image sizing and proportions. You can then upload them to the Item Image Submission form you'll receive after purchase of your plan.
